Ribs 'N' Jibs 2019

This year on Wednesday 13th of March we held the second edition of Ribs ‘N’ Jibs in Meribel. The snow gods were kind and gave us a fresh dump just before the event, which meant we could shape more features for the riders to get more creative and jibby. Same janky box as last year, different set up, still so much fun!

On the day, the weather couldn’t make up its mind, we had sun and snow, but that didn’t stop the crowd from getting bigger and having a rad day. With over 40 riders, including some coming out of town just for the event, we saw some incredible talent and tricks. Especially from the girls who sent it to the moon and back.

Our partners, The Brewer’s Den, supplied finger licking good ribs and delicious vegan currywurst. So good it sold out! There were some amazing sponsors this year, Cool Bus who came with their DJ bus sound system to get the crowd pumping. Sapaudia Brewing Co. a local independent brewing company from Savoie, who had two of their super tasty crafts beers for us to try. Melon Optics was back their Meribel Ambassador, Olli Harrison, who helped from start to finish, good times and sick tricks. Cab9 was also there to help with the goings on of the day. And of course, Sully’s Meribel who hosted us for the after party, with Hong Kong Ping Pong on the decks.

Thanks to all our sponsors and partners for the amazing prizes we were able to give out this year. Cash prizes of €150 for our overall winner and €100 each to the best skier/snowboarder, male/female winners. There was also a snowboard lesson from Cab9, bar tabs, sunglasses, beanies, tees and hoodies. The stoke was high.

It was a great day, packed full of fun, smiles, laughter and surprises. We can’t wait to do it all over again next year!!
