Gloves & mitts
Our gloves and mitts are guaranteed to keep you warm on the hill. We know how awful it is having cold hands, so we’ve ensured that all gloves have wrist leashes. Looking for ultimate warmth and comfort? We recommend the Bro-Down Insulated Mitt or Peacemaker Insulated glove. Our Bro-Down mittens are heaters for your hands. Individual inner fingers keep your hands warm. The durable pleather palms add all the grip you'll ever need and don't get sliced up by ski edges. It's kinda like leather, but no cows were harmed in the process. Windproof, waterproof, warm and breathable, the Bro Down Mitts have everyone going for them. They also come in a load of great colours. So whether you fancy plum, camo, black, animal print or a spacey print, we’ve got you covered.
Our Peacemaker Insulated Glove is a fuss-free, insulated glove that'll keep your hands warm and dry from November to April. Planks' Peacemaker pleather palms provide proper pole purchase. Just like the Bro-Down Mitts, these gloves are windproof, waterproof, warm and breathable. They come in black and army green.
Looking for a more lightweight option? Woodsy's lightweight pipe glove has a silicon hand of shred palm print. Available in a choice of Woodsy's favourite colours. Looking to keep your head warm and cover your helmet hair? We’ve got beanies, bobble hats, caps, headbands and more… Our famous knitted ‘skier’ headbands and bobbles are a must-have for apres. Our unisex Essentials Beanie is available in a colour to match your outfit. Don't leave home without it! Another one that we like to shout about is our Polylana Beanie, this is a warm, wool-like knitted beanie made from Polylana yarn. Polylana is a synthetic fibre made from modified and recycled polyester. The goodness doesn’t stop there… We have a whole load of beanies which look great with ski wear and everyday wear.
Looking for a snood or balaclava? Elevate your headwear game with the Planks Emperor Hood and you'll never experience ice-cream head again. Wear it down as a neck warmer or go full ninja and secure it with a goggle strap. And it's big enough to pull over a helmet too… we thought of that! Made with fleece fabric from Polartec.
Planks' colours and series
Our outerwear is split into series. However, fear not, no matter the series, all of our gear is waterproof and breathable, two things which are crucial for skiwear. We have a whole range of colours and patterns. Looking for something more subtle? We’ve got black, grey, army green or navy. Feeling bold? Why not go for petrol blue, fluoro lime, purple, orange, indigo, or even animal print!
If you’re a backcountry fanatic who enjoys ski touring and earning their turns, our Yeti Series for you. The Yeti Series is a collection of 3-layer shell apparel designed for serious freeride skiers. With fully taped seams, the recycled 2-way stretch fabric is bonded to Planks’ most waterproof and breathable 20k/20k membrane for maximum performance.
The Good Times Series is robust and versatile; it is designed to take whatever you or the mountains can throw at it, time after time. It’s our bestselling series year after year. This is comfort-focused outerwear for long ski days. A level up from the Shred Series in terms of features, Good Times apparel has highly waterproof, breathable and recycled 15k/15k fabrics. Combine that with toasty warm midweight insulation, fully taped seams, and waterproof exposed zips and you're ready for the hill! Regular fits across the series offer enough room to add extra layers and still feel free skiing. There’s mesh-lined venting to cool you down and keep the snow out too. Next up we’ve got the Shred Series. Home to bold styles and essential features, the Shred Series puts the “fun” into functional. Animal print, hot red, powder pink - pick your colour or print and go shred. Created for the daily shredder, every piece of outerwear features Planks’ recycled RIDEdry10 fabric and taped seams to keep you dry and comfortable for a full day’s riding. There are zip- close stash pockets for your phone, Rizlas, car keys and cold fingers, in every jacket, pant and riding hoodie. Fit, venting features and insulation weights vary by style, so first choose the look, then check the specs. The Shred Series works better the more upside down you go.
